Grecian artist Alex Maragos serves up the 9th Silk Textures release: the atmospheric and sultry "Play 6 (Bet on Love)". We last heard from Maragos on his equally seductive remix of Gridlocked's "Balancing Act" - released on label affiliate Silk Sofa.

The Original Mix begins with gentle hats and evocative pad sweeps; other elements quite subtly emerge, including a gurgling bassline and a light background keyboard melody. In the main break, we are treated to an archival film sample of a casino "craps" game, which offers the titular gambling/love double entendre.

Dapple Apple caps off a breakthrough year - with acclaimed tracks on various divisions of Silk - with a more "classic" deep house take. The talented Ukrainian artist remains faithful to the mood of the original mix, while kicking the beat up a notch, as well as enhancing the various pad and synth stab effects.

Finally, Mistique Music founders Michael & Levan and Stiven Rivic have graced us with an ambitious downtempo interpretation. Their remix begins with the aforementioned cinematic sample and sweeps; yet, most of the elements that follow are completely unique to their version. The breathtaking main "break," with it's symphonic strings and airy female vox, is truly stunning.
